Program Description
This workshop will present an overview of a sexual health model as a guiding philosophy in treating sexual issues in a therapy setting. Although many clients come to sessions with concerns and/or questions about their sexuality, most training programs don’t integrate human sexuality into their curriculum, leaving therapists feeling uncomfortable and uncertain how to discuss and treat sexual disorders. This workshop will focus on helping psychologists become comfortable assessing their client’s sexual health and learn strategies to treat common sexual issues and disorders using the PLISSIT Model of addressing sexual functioning.
